Upload rights & consent

You are responsible for having permission to upload and edit the footage. That includes people who appear in it, music on the soundtrack, clips from elsewhere, and any other copyrighted or third-party material in the source.

ViralEngine does not grant you rights to third-party material. You are responsible for what you publish after you download a short.

Upload checks are technical — format, duration, and audio. We do not verify ownership or consent. By uploading, you confirm you have the rights or permissions needed.

• Did I film this, or do I have permission from whoever did?
• Do I have permission for identifiable people in the picture or on the audio?
• If there is music, overlays, or someone else’s clip, do I have the rights to those too?
• If anyone in it is a minor, do I have the permission that is required?

If any answer is no, do not upload it.

If you believe footage of you was uploaded without permission, contact us via the contact page. Describe the content and, if you have it, where the short was posted. We can remove media from our storage and may suspend the uploader’s account.

Media also deletes from our systems after the retention window. Content already posted to TikTok, Reels, Shorts, or another platform has to be reported there as well.

Uploading footage you do not have rights to use breaks the Terms of service and can get the account suspended.
