Six stages between raw and ready.

Every upload moves through the same six stages you’ll watch on the processing screen. Here’s what each one actually does.

Upload complete

Your file lands in private, per-account storage and is checked before any editing starts: a supported format, up to 10 minutes long, with a usable audio track. 30 seconds to 5 minutes is recommended for the best results, but shorter and longer videos work too. A file we can’t edit is turned away up front — and costs nothing.

02 / 06

Understanding your video

The engine listens to every word you say and maps exactly when you say it. Speech is the spine of the whole edit, which is why footage of you actually talking works best.

03 / 06

Building the story

It finds the moment most likely to stop a scroll and opens with it, then rebuilds the rest of your story, in order, around your strongest moments. Not thirty random clips — one story with a beginning and a payoff.

Editing

Dead air goes. Cuts land between words, never through them. The framing stays on you through every cut. Pacing follows the natural beats of how you spoke — a pause before a punchline stays a pause.

Mixing the sound

Dialogue comes first, always. Music and sound sit under your voice and get quieter whenever you speak, and the whole mix is kept clean — no clipping, no music drowning the line that matters.

Final quality check

Six checks run on the finished file itself — sound, dialogue balance, framing, cuts, story, and duration. Only a short that passes all six is handed to you.

The last stage, up close

The gate is the product.

Stage six is a real inspection of the finished file, not a formality. These six checks decide whether you get the short at all.

If a check fails, you don’t get a compromised video — you get the reason in plain language, and your minutes go back to your balance.

If the render itself hiccups, we keep your saved editing plan and retry from it for free. A technical stumble on our side never costs you minutes.

  • Portrait framing keeps the subject in frame
  • No cut lands mid-word
  • The story is intelligible start to finish
  • The short fits the platform (up to 60s)

What it doesn’t do.

Worth knowing before you upload — we’d rather tell you here than surprise you later.

  • No captions yet — it’s on the roadmap, not in the beta.
  • No timeline. You can’t tweak the result here; you download it or re-run with different footage.
  • One short per upload — a finished video, not a pile of drafts to sort through.
  • English-first beta. Other languages may work, but we don’t stand behind them yet.
